Legion of Mary: Mary Ark of the New Covenant Praesidium
The Legion of Mary is an apostolic organization of lay people founded in Dublin in September of 1921. The Legion has been active in the United States since 1931, and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council. The main purpose of the Legion of Mary is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members.
Members become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and service. Works include parishioner visitation, visitation of the sick or aged, Pilgrim Virgin Statue rotations, and meeting other spiritual needs of the parish community. In essence, the Legion is an extension of the heart and hands of the pastor, under the guidance of a spiritual director.
Members meet once a week for prayer, planning and discussion in a family setting and share two hours of definite work per week. Our Mary Ark of the New Covenant Praesidium meets each Thursday evening at 6:30pm at Incarnation of the Lord Church. All are welcome to attend these meetings and learn more about how the Legion of Mary is serving Jesus through our Blessed Mother in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.

Militia of the Immaculata
The Militia of the Immaculata (MI) is a worldwide evangelization movement founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917 that encourages total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a means of spiritual renewal for individuals and society. It employs prayer as the main tool in the spiritual battle with evil. Members of the MI also immerse themselves in apostolic initiatives throughout society, either individually or in groups, to deepen and spread the knowledge of the Gospel and our Catholic Faith. St. Teresa of Avila's MI Village moderators are Rich & Virginia O'Donnell. To keep up-to-date with the latest events and news CLICK HERE to visit the Parish's MI Village website.
