Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish
High School Youth Group
High school students are invited to join us for games, discussion and prayer each Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 in the Frassati Room at the Parish Center (800 Avila Court, lower level). When you arrive, come to the side courtyard, and a team member will be there to greet you.
Our Youth Ministry Program strives to lead teens to Christ through creative catechesis, evangelization, and fellowship. We not only seek to introduce teens to Christ, but also to give them the tools to foster a life-long relationship with Christ in His Church. Through activities, events, and discipleship, Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Youth Ministry Program seeks to bring Christ’s love to our teens, by providing a place to be known and loved through every experience, question, doubt, and prayer of adolescence and young adulthood.
What does a typical Youth Night look like?
Youth Nights are our weekly gathering for all high school students (grades 9-12) on Wednesdays. To start, we’ll gather together at 6 pm in the Youth Room for a or icebreaker, a time of prayer, and a relevant and challenging message to help our high school students think through each of the adult decisions coming up in their lives. Following the message, we'll break into small groups for a time of discussion surrounding the topic of the night. These discussion small groups are led by a team of safe-environment-trained adults who have a desire for the young people of our parish to know Christ. Our Youth Nights conclude by 7:30 pm.
What topics are covered at Youth Group?
Who am I? What is my purpose? How do I know if I'm making the best decisions? How can I best move on from my past or set up my future? The Bible can help us answer questions like these. Our messages provide truth for every day questions.
Can students bring friends to Youth Group?
Sure! High School friends of any faith or church background or experience are welcome with us on any Wednesday.
Along with Youth Group we have various other programs for high school students:
