Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish
The Reverend John R. Rushofsky
Pastor
No matter your past or present status in the Catholic Church . . . Your current family or marital status . . . Your past or current religious affiliation . . . Your personal history, age, background, or ethnicity . . . You are invited, accepted and most welcomed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. May all who walk through our door know that God loves them
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish brings together the former parishes of Saint Athanasius in West View (est. 1907), Incarnation of the Lord in Observatory Hill/Perry North (1993), Saint Sebastian in Ross Township (1952), and Saint Teresa of Avila in Perrysville (1867). All four church buildings are now part of the new parish.
For more than a year and a half, our four congregations have worked together to share our resources, staffs and experience. Having laid the foundation, we are excited to move forward with a united purpose, grateful for our past and full of faith in the future. I am so very honored to serve as the first pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.
Our website reflects our spirit of cooperation and excitement as it shares with the community our many ministries and organizations whose main goal is to spread the Good News of Salvation while bringing Christ to the people and the people to Christ.
